Actually that's very true In Washington DC the city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country where ordinary citisens are unable to own handguns to defend themselves,has one of the highest crime rates in the country,In Texas It's becoming very apparent that career criminals are learning that their profession id becoming more dangerous than working on a an Alaskan Crab Boat.We don't have to run out of our own homes with some stupid duty to try to flee from criminals therefore empowering them to do as they wish ,we have the right to defend our lives and hard earned property with deadly force if we need to.You say property isn't worth killing someone over,man has been killing attackers since the beginning of time and learned that having a weapon equalised the smallest person and made him capable of vanquishing a giant.Letting people carry firearms to protect themselves hasn't created the huge bloodbath anti gun groups would lead you to believe,what it has done in citys and states that implemented laws to allow people the right to defend themselves and be immune from civil lawsuits if the shooting was determined to be justified is lower the crime rate.
